We’ll be celebrating the holiday season by sharing some of our favorite things, including our favorite time of day. Beauty, comfort, and connection are your rewards.
Of all the hours that bathe the plaza with light, in the midst of The Shops at Sea Pines Center, the approach of sunset is frankly our favorite. As the sun slides gently over the roof of Lowcountry Produce – this time of year edging south toward the top of our favorite bookstore, By Hand, Ink – the colors of the sky and the glow of the plaza sing harmony. For us it is the harmony of home.
Music and memories offer another sensation of beauty, in this Holiday Art Market. The award-winning Junior Jazz Ensemble brings the fascination of youth. Shore Notes, the Lowcountry’s beloved troupe of strolling carolers, will bring the songs of the season to every shop and doorstep.
A hands-on sense of beauty is before us, too, as Sea Love candle boutique demonstrates the joy of pouring your own candle, with a signature scent you can compose from more than 100 available fragrances. For receiving, for giving – and for doing – Sea Love is a particularly fine stop on your holiday journey.

More than a dozen artists and artisans will exhibit their latest works at the Holiday Art Market and share the inspiration they discovered here in a Lowcountry. Some of our favorite stories – at holiday time or any time – are how the peculiar beauty of our sea islands brought out the artist in some who never before saw themselves this way. In other lives, a practicing artist discovered new depths and horizons from the beauty that surrounds us here. The stories and their richness are here at the Holiday Art Market.
Our own Jeff Keefer of VIVID Gallery and members of the Artists of Sea Pines will exhibit their works. Artisans from the celebrated Farmers & Makers Market will return with handmade, heartfelt gift ideas.
