Who could be better qualified than Lowcountry Produce to orchestrate the seasonal Farmers & Makers Market at The Shops at Sea Pines Center? On the first Tuesday after we “spring forward” each year, local growers and artisans gather here to display the results of their work and dedication and to offer the inside knowledge that goes with their extraordinary skills. This year, our first Farmers & Makers Market will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 12.

Dawning like the spring season itself, the Farmers & Makers Market attracts people in the know, from first-time visitors to longtime Sea Pines residents, and all sorts of folks in between. In fact, fresh produce is just the beginning. As the array of fruits and vegetables progresses through the season – from blueberries to heirloom tomatoes to sweet country corn to peaches and beyond – so, too, the enjoyment grows and flourishes here in the plaza amid The Shops at Sea Pines Center.

More That’s Fresh, More That’s Local

Artisans in every conceivable medium, from leather or fiber arts to painting and ceramics, have chosen the Farmers & Makers Market as a prime place to offer their handiwork. Folks come to find out what’s fun to do this week, as well as for the produce and crafts they can discover here.

More fresh, local produce; more seafood; more breads and cheeses; more crafts, and more artisans will be on display, each Tuesday until fall, as a result of some digging that our friends at Lowcountry Produce did in the off-season.

In the Hands of Masters

Examining fresh applications from two dozen of the area’s best-qualified growers, producers, and exhibitors, Lowcountry Produce seeks to discover what the people like best. They learned that the Farmers & Makers Market continues to attract a loyal following in Sea Pines and to make new friends among Hilton Head Island visitors.

Our facilities, our location, the beauty of our setting, and the freedom of an open-air plaza are among the things that folks like best. From what we learned, we invited new growers and artisans to join us for the 2024 season, building up the attractions that people have enjoyed here the most.

Join Us for the Fun

No wonder people return Tuesday after Tuesday and year after year. The excellence and authenticity of Lowcountry Produce has been recognized in national magazines, including Country Living and Garden & Gun, and they were selected for The O List of Oprah Winfrey’s O Magazine. The attention they pay to excellence in detail, and the energy they bring to work every day, makes us thankful to be colleagues in bringing you the weekly, seasonal Farmers & Makers Market in The Shops at Sea Pines Center.
